This isn't listed in the list of recipes, but I tried using a golden seed in the DNA Manipulator to see if it would research. Yep.

Very nice... now, where do I find more of them? haha, in the T2 spreader, they're almost 4 ppt.

I believe you can only get them from golden chests. I've never seen them anywhere else. Currently, there are a total of 11 golden chests in the game.

I found one in one of the wrecks, just out on the floor and one in a bunker, again, just as a world spawn.

What the heck is a golden seed, do you have a pic? never ever came across one and I have opened all golden boxes

You can make the recipe, but it is not worth it. Put it into a flower spreader instead. It will gain you a higher output of Oxygen. Something like 1.94 compared to 1.84 or something like that. Keep the flower.

First, the boosts are on the generator, not on the total. Second, the units are different between vegetubes and tree spreaders.

In a vegetube t3 it's ppq/s. In a tree spreader t1 it's ppt/s. I believe that's 1000x more. For me, the golden seed in a vegetube t3 shows 78 ppq/s and the tree spreader shows 1.84 ppt/s.

Tree seeders put out waaay more oxygen than vegetubes. So yes, in a tree spreader the golden seed only gives 200% boost (more than any other seed), it's 2 orders of magnitude more than what you'd get from a vegetube and 600% boost.
