Any way to "Snap" objects together when placing them down?
Is there anyway to get objects, such as the, Living Quarters" etc, to snap together when placing them? If there isn't currently, is it something that can be added? The way it is right now it's hard to make the minute adjustments needed to get the buildings and platforms to line up with each other properly. It's taken me several attempts to place a Living Quarter on top of a platform properly without it over-hanging on one side, or not lining up with another Living Quarters, quite right.

They sort of do, and show a link icon when placing it would connect with an existing room. It's not as sticky as I suspect you want, though.

Yeah I noticed the way that some things show a link. The most trouble I have is trying to get things to move on the Z axis sometimes. Like, I try to move an object up or down by looking up or down with it, but then it causes it to move back and forth on the x and y, and just makes for a real aggravating experience at times. One thing that I think could be better is when placing certain buildings on top of one another. For example, I wanted the biolab directly on top of my base, but it wouldn't let me do it. I had to have it branching off the side of my base. I would like to have it on top of the rest of base so that I could go into it using an indoor ladder, like I do with the other floors in my base. Overall, though, I'm liking the game a lot. I just think it could use some fine tuning here and there. I know it's Early Access, so maybe it'll get it. Either way, it's not a game breaker for me.

Yes, having lots of troubles placing certain buildings (the biolab too). Wishing there was a different build mode view or a way to move objects up and down.

The greatest problem is when you build on the groud. If you build on structures it is a lot easyer but you need to build a platform for that. It is worth the eford.

dont'd build on ground. always use sockets and bases. makes it much easier.

As a perfectionist, I would also like to see some kind of guide lines in the game and snapping to the grid during construction.
