How many hours of content roughly?
How long is this game and is there a win condition? The game looks intriguing but I'm concerned I'll have every tech levels unlocked and a full base a few hours in.

Depending on your playstyle, there should be at least 10 hours of gameplay before you reach the tree state, which is the end of the Early Access content.

Some people have spent 50 hours in the prologue already, building a base and exploring.

Just wanted to say. Solid game. Looking forward to new content.

Depends if you are about rushing to the finish line after looking up how to guides and walkthroughs or going in blind and exploring and building a neat base and taking your time.
It's kinda like Subnautica, you can totally rush through that game in a couple hours, or you can spend dozens exploring and building.

From what I am seeing , to unlock everything and taking your time think you could have 150hours plus in a play through right now. Note I said taking your time and doing it right. To unlock the last thing needs a very high number on the index to unlock. I am still exploring off a old save but going to start fresh tomorrow and take my time.

Depends on your style. You'll extend your playtime if you focus on base building but then again, you 'll probably get frustrated at how clunky base building is at the moment.

Thanks! This explains why I feel like I'm missing something

I spent about 5 hours in the prologue then another 5 hours in the main game now, i've reached the tree stage a while ago, and sent up a few biomass rockets, starting to barely get some moss going. i see that i don't have much left to learn in the blueprint screen which sucks, i'm really enjoying the game but wish there was more to do.

I spent about 70 hours in the prologue just wandering and finding each and every chest and hidey hole and secret. I spent several hours starting and restarting to check out how random the start location was. Now, with the full game I look forward to at least that long and then replaying it on the various settings. If you really enjoy exploring this game will give you many many many hours of fun if you are all about the speed or killing then....maybe not so many hours.

I've played the game for 180 hours I literally build a base in every area of the map so it's definitely depending on your play style😁

I'm at about 18 hours and have done everything except find 1 last golden chest.
Once you get "Tree Spreader level 2" there's a not much more you can do.

Of course I played probably 40 hours in the prologue, so knew where all the golden chests were already, that made my progress much faster.

If you like building bases then there are many hours of fun to be had, I've got 500 hours in Subnautica and most of that is starting new games just to build new and different bases.

I just reached the tree stage, insects is now incredibly slow. Is it worth continuing or is there no more progression or story content for now?

Have you found all the screens with messages from people that have crashed? I think I've found 6 or 7 so far.

I think I've found them all and the hidden walls. I think I explored the map several times over while waiting for terraforming to progress. I've read the dev comment a couple of times now that insects is unfinished so I'll hold off on the game until the next patch. Having fun so far!

That's the end of the current game's content. More will be released in further updates.
