Saving?

It seems that the progress is not saved when quitting to the Main Menu, instead of the Desktop, while the autosaving seems almost random.

 Every time you finish upgrading or buying something from the machine, it will be saved. That's how I do it. I go to the machine set and then leave. The game is saved, and now I can exit the game.

Thank you for the information. In Dark Souls, I liked that it was possible to stop and continue sessions at any point reliably. It is unfortunate that it is not the case with Steelrising, even if the "bonfires" are not too far from each other.

Steelrising saves the game upon hitting the Escape key / going back to the menu. Just make sure that the save icon (blue flame) blinks in the upper right corner. Same for the other instances (bonfires, upgrading, checkpoints): if the blue flame icon blinks in the upper right corner, then the game is saving its progress.
