[Guide] How-To play OFDR Online
With Codemasters and quazal killing off the online servers for DR, some of you may be wondering how to continue playing co-op or pvp.

*****UPDATE*****
The SAR OFDR forums are now closed, thus any link using SARs site is moot. The new forums are here: http://operationflashpoint.forummotion.com/

(DEAD LINK) http://sar.n1bus.eu/forum/topic315.html OFDR Community Forums thread on the issue.

Tunngle - A program used to gather the online community and organize games. Not required to play, but its a place to find players wanting to play. Requirements: client and registration on www.tunngle.net. This seems to be the direction the majority of the community are going. Here is the original forum post over at the OFDR Community Forums (DEAD LINK) http://sar.n1bus.eu/forum/play-online-t321.html :

One more way is Tunngle http://www.tunngle.net/
Its free program, all you need is create account.
Find OFDR servers and connect, then start game,go to Lan>Browse Servers and all active servers will be listed like in normal multiplayer
Work fine for all game modes

Direct LAN - Requirements: Host's IP address.
Thread on Direct LAN. (DEAD LINK) http://sar.n1bus.eu/forum/topic315.html
From tvig0r0us' post on the community forums (DEAD LINK) http://sar.n1bus.eu/forum/lost-connection-ofdr-online-server-down-t315-10.html#p1497 :

Alright everybody just relax. We do still have a solution to be able to play mp matches and best of all, it's built right into the game. I've made a post on moddb regarding the issue and included instructions on how to start a multiplayer match without the dependency on any third party servers. The post can be found at http://www.moddb.com/games/operation-flashpoint-dragon-rising/news/codemasters-pulls-the-plug

Many of us have been able to enjoy online matches simply by sharing the host ip address with all of the match participants. The process is really simple and has existed the entire time, but most players remain entirely unaware of the solution.

To make this work, the player that hosts the session can simply obtain their ip address from one of many websites that give you your ip. Here are a couple:
http://www.Whatsmyip.org

http://www.Whatismyip.com

Once you have your ip address, share it with all of the players you are going to have in the match.
Start up your game and select multiplayer from the menu.
Select LAN
For the host, you must simply create a server for the match. Once you have done that, the other players can join your server and will appear in the lobby after doing so.
For the clients, go to the ip address menu selection and enter the ip address that the host gave you. Press enter and if the server is set up as described above, you should connect and enter the game lobby awaiting the start of the game.

It's as simple as that!

This is something we've known was coming so we shouldn't be quite this bent out of shape about it. We lost much more when they pulled the plug on the forums. In comparison, this is a much lighter blow to the community than that was. Look over the instructions above if you're not familiar with the process. The biggest challenge will be to find other gamers to strike up a game with, but I'm confident we'll be able to find a solution for that too.

If anyone is having a problem getting this to work, post it in the Tech Support area of the forums and the answers to your questions will start to roll in.

For goodness sake, cheer up!! :D We've survived much worse than this ;)

Cheers :D

Well the devs shut off the servers a long time ago.
You can however play through Hamachi or something similar to my understanding.

Hello Master Fur,
Thanks for help, but i dont know if Hamachi ever works today, i can't find something new about it on year 2016.

If you know how to do to join Hamachi today and if i really can join online servers, i listen you.

Thanks again.

No need for Hamachi. Direct IP works just fine.

If you are like me and hate sticking that Tungle/Hamachi, or Game Ranger(which requires flash) garbage on your computer, I have a better way.

IF you have access to your router to forward ports all you have to do is login, go to the port forwarding area on your router and forward port 9105 on UDP and thats all.
Port Src: https://findports.com/article/operation-flashpoint-dragon-rising
I see tons of horrible guides telling people to forward huge ranges of ports on both UDP and TCP and thats just not necessary.

Afterwards, follow the LAN tutorial above and your friends will be able to connect without much issue. I play with 3 different people every so often and this makes it very easy to do.

Not every provider allows you a static ip!
