God I love this game!

Messing around with HDR to simulate eye adaptation to lighting, and just to have fun in my old playground!

With a few tweaks, and Reshade OFDR stands up pretty well in the graphics department I have to admit!

What were your tweaks and settings?
TemplarGFX Jun 3, 2015 @ 5:33am
3 things at play. two are easy :

Download this : https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B38jzMAjNYH4b2NDcVIxTDV4STQ/view?usp=sharing
It contains the edits to the graphics files and the Reshade mod to work with it. Copy it into your game's install directory.
This contains my Improved Weather mod and tweaks to grass rendering.

The final step is to edit your game's graphics config and make a few specific changes (My Documents\My Games\OFDR\systemsettings\) :

<coverage tolerance="-1.000000" /> <ground_cover lodScale="0.120000" tilesPerLOD="49" />

I recommend setting your preferred setting and then making this file read-only. This prevents the game from changing settings permenantly

Obviously you need a mod-enabled version of the game, and it will work with any mission

The Eye Adaptation is done through the Luminance file and I can explain what if you want.

Also do you know of a way to reduce the amount of weapon/head movement effect I find it really unrealistic and a bit annoying. Who runs swinging there weapon back and forth like that ? maybe a simple FOV fix would do the trick ?

Plain Steam version only uses the Reshade tweak (which makes it look great!) However to use the full tweaks you need to install Acidx's EXE (http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1943271) over the steam one. There will never be another update for OFDR so once you've replaced it steam will run the right version from the menu.

Most people use 1.02 AcidX

Unfortunately if I remember correctly, these settings are stored inside the Mission Editor Database, and are compiled into the mission when it is created. As such it can't be modified for existing missions.

It could be changed in the database and then a new mission built with it.

Nowadays you need to use a VPN app like Hamachi to play LAN games over the net as MP servers are offline.

Sadly there is no way to disable post processing. Sorry bud.

Correct, while you can turn off some features inside the weather configuration files, the lighting or colouring is done by the settings for the lights themselves, and would require editing hundreds and hundreds of lines of code
