Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising

Some newbie questions.
I've played Flashpoint 1 and ARMA 2. I own them both. Now the controls in this are similar though a bit more clunky. as some have mentioned it's to do with being designed with console pads in mind.

Playing through the first mission there a few things that i'd like to make clear. Your feedback would be appreciated.

1) Is it possible to drop a weapon? Does encumbrance even come into it?

2) I tried driving the jeep and noticed i couldnt pan the camera around to look left or right, only if i was in the commander seat. But the a.i. driver is terrible at driving, trying to push through a tree so i want to drive. But i also want to be able to look left and right!

3) Can you request ammo or swap weapons with squad mates or friendlies?

Im pretty sure you may be able to drop a weapon, as for panning in the vehicle driver seat, i don't know. I never used vehicles at all and always went on foot. I think you can request ammo from friendlies. My answers arent the most reliable as i'm just recounting on very few playing time as i nolonger play and had the game uninstalled due to harddrive space. (not everyone owns a badass gaming pc (sadface))

1)You can not drop a weapon per-se. What you can do if you are running out of ammo or just want to change your weapon is get close to a dead body (friendly or enemy) and press the key "E" then a pop-up menu will appear and you will see all what the soldier was carrying, then you pick-up what you want (you can carry 2 primary weapons).
2) Yeah you can only see at 12 O'clock while driving any vehicle. If you want to have a wider view you can press "intro" and drive from 3rd person cam.
3) IIRC you can request ammo in campaing mode (don't remember how since I haven't played campaing in a while). And no, you can not swap weapons with friendlies.

After finishing campaing you can come to play some missions with us if you wish we are on tunngle.

Enjoy the game.

You can also find supply crates in the world, you can use these to refill ammo or in some cases, swap a weapon. Works the same as the dead body method above.
