Crysis® 3

Crysis® 3

Performance in this game is trash
I am so glad I did not buy this game until this point... 7 years later and a 1080ti + i7 7700 can barely handle this game.

I mean I understand the OG crysis was brutal for the time, but I can crank any modern game at max 1440p or 4K no problem but for some reason I set this game at 1080p with low settings and it hangs at 66fps? Is it soft-capped at 66fps? It does it matter if it is running at 1440p max settings or as I mentioned already 1080p low and still frame rate is all over the place, it even drops to 30 in some places...

Thanks for the help but I am refunding this garbage, I looked on youtube and there's a gazillion different tutorials, tried like 5 different one and still the same stutter. Clearly I am not the only one having this issue.

I find it kind of funny that Hunt: Showdown runs flawlessly but this game does not...
sorry,
I had the same issue myself on a different game ( my monitor is 144hz )
and the game looked liek garbage, stuttering like mad and cappd at 66-72 fps.
turned out the game was applying v-sync on every frame twice, after I disabled it and used my GPU vsync it was amazing.

Nothing wrong with the performance in this game, the problem is on your end.

For some reason, the game is capping me to 64 FPS on my 165 Hz monitor, dunno why. Don't remember this happening on the Origin version.

you post a random video from the internet and claim the game is fine... I guess I should ignore how good all my other games perform including one from Crytek which has better graphics and runs flawlessly \®/

You don't get to decide what framerate is okay or not for other people.

I also have 144 Hz monitor but sometimes after driver install it defaults to 60 so I have to manually set 144 again so maybe its the same in your case. Check in display adapter properties or somewhere in the control panel of drivers.

Runs stable on console. Maybe you should have one of those instead.

Now everything is fine refresh rate is set to 165hz...

It appears you don't own the game.

same problem as in crysis 2, playing with alt + enter and turning vsync on/off solves fps cap
