All i'm getting is a black screen upon start, no errors at all. Anyone else experiencing this?

You're not the only one.

Interesting though is that I was able to get pass that first screen and change the options, but as soon as I set everything to max and click apply, the game goes to black screen.
I also tried to edit game.cfg file located in "C:\Users\<username>\Saved Games\Crysis3" to start the game in windowed mode, but that didn't help either.

My PC specs
Intel i5 8500
GTX 1660 Ti
16 GB
Windows 10 x64, 1909.

Getting this too.

I've managed two successful launches. 1 where I changed some settings and hit apply which then went back to the black screen + green cursor, and the other worked fine where I played the first mission and was even able to change the AA setting in game with no problem. It should be noted that the second working launch came when I started the game from Origin itself, but I've been trying that again and it's back to the black screen. Really frustrating.

Interesting to know you guys are getting this too. Kind of ridiculous that i cannot even get to the settings.

I am as well. Might just refund it if the dang game can't even run.

Running a i9-9900K and a GTX 1070 TI

Damn, same here. I've scoured the internet a bit to find solutions but so far none have worked. Hopefully someone finds a solution soon, it's weird that the game doesn't even work on high-end systems???

If you're using MSI Afterburner or Rivatuner, disable Crysis3.exe in it or turn on Custom Direct3D Support.

How exactly can one do this? I do in fact use MSI afterburner as of recently but the settings don't seem to have a section to disable certain apps

When you install MSI Afterburner it usually installs Rivatuner. You'd disable it in Rivatuner.

I was able to open RivaTuner but have no preset profiles for Crysis 3, how would I disable it in the RT application? Sorry, I'm a bit new to the Afterburner and RT thing

Click Add in the bottom left and locate Crysis 3's exe (in the Bin32 folder in the install folder). And just change application detection level to none.

Unfortunately after some toying around with these settings I'm still getting a black screen that turns into a (Not Responding) if clicked on, super puzzling issue going on here. I appreciate your assistance and may keep trying in the morning. Hope this might work for anyone else viewing the above suggestions!

WORKING SOLUTION for me at least: (sorry for caps)

and big thanks to @MrEWhite for pointing about monitoring programs.

So, I disabled monitoring specifically for Crysis 3.exe in RivaTuner and finally managed to run this game multiple times without any problem. Starting through Steam and playing on fullscreen with max settings.

@Mike Hunt
Here is the image of the settings in Riva Tuner just for Crysis 3. In case you missed something. But before you select None in detection level, set everything else as mine.

EDIT:
I tried to reproduce the problem again and it really is the RivaTuner. With RivaTuner enabled (or probably any other monitoring app) the game wouldn't start.

If you set Custom Direct3D Support to on, you can use FPS Caps in Crysis 3.
