403 ICE 3 - can someone point out what I am missing?
So after a bunch of success with other engines on other lines, like Bakerloo, Clinchfield, Arosalinie, etc. I am working through the Hauptstrecke München – Augsburg scenarios, but have come across a problem with this locomotive. Every time it stops, I can never get it going again. I always disengage the AFB before coming in to a station, or braking for a red light, but if I ever allow it to fully come to a stop, then no matter what I do, the red square in the hud (which normally goes away if the brakes are released while the throttle is off) remains, and no increase to the throttle from zero will cause the train to move.
I've tried pretty much every switch, tried turning everything off and going back through the entire procedure I start each run with, nothing seems to make it move again after stopping.

What am I missing?

I'm currently half an hour late getting to a platform sitting 450m ahead of me on the snowy scenario :D

From looking at your screenshot, the first thing I noticed is that your MCB (Main Circuit Braker) is open (those red labels under the blue bars on the left screen, they should be blue when closed). This means that the train won't be going anywhere by its own power.

Does that tend to flip when you bring the train to a full stop? What's the procedure for getting it closed again? I assume like most stuff I've used such as the F7, there's a specific order for turning it back on, yes? It's not been explained in the tutorials for the scenarios in the 403 ICE 3 so far, it's just been "drive to this place" and the locomotive's been all set to go.

No, it should not open itself just like that. Turning it on again is as simple as making sure the reverser is not in the off position and then flipping the MCB switch (the switch closest to the left of the aforementioned screen) to the closed position.

Check your keybindings or if you are using a rail driver or some sort of controller make sure the MCB is not set to the same button as the brakes or some button witch you can accidentally press (happens on the RD, who though it was a good idea to have buttons on the armrest!?).
Thanks, I'll have a crack at it in the morning and let you know how I get on.

Also the ICE3 tutorial on Köln Aachen covers the use of the Pantograph and MCB. Just be aware that the desk screen in the tutorial might show the wrong graphics (GG Dovetail another bugged tutorial, who would have thunk it). But in scenarios and service mode it appears to work as it should.
