That is debate that is ongoing, with many opinions, DTG will not deny or confirm it, me: looking at the track record, with the release of TSW1/2020 => TSW2 => TSW3 => TSW4,
You are welcome to jump into the fray here https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/enough-is-enough.72535/page-101

Yes, 09/'24 or 10/'24. Maybe with another name. A base game update and 3 routes.

TSW 5 (this September?): Steam Cloud saves as main feature.

TSW 6 one year later: Functioning EBuLa on German trains.

TSW 7 another year later: Ability to put the EBuLa on a 2nd screen. Zusi 3 Hobby needed because TSW will use ZusiDisplay for the 2nd screen, positive side it works for console versions if ZusiDisplay is running on a PC in the same network.

The difference between DTG and SCS.... buy a new game with a few basic bug fixes and improvements (that none of the DLC you own will work with) every year or get bug fixes and improvements for free for years and buy new DLC as it comes out. I personally feel that paying for a whole new game to get things like volumetric fog is a rort. Especially when the DLC costs as much as a AAA title on it's own. "But you get 3 free routes!! What a bargain!". Come on, it's a few resources placed around a track, using the same game engine they've sold to the same people 4 times so far. Just wait for TSW7 in a couple of years.
