Is there a way to make airflow sound stop completely? Or is it an endelss loop which is not simulated? Read below plz ..
I have been studying this train CW44AC for a while and .. attention to details here is amazing. When you turn of the radio, it stops making sounds. When you turn the heater on, it starts making sounds. When you apply brakes while having your autospeed on, it fun to observe how brakes compete with the engine.

What I have noticed though is that somewhere in the middle of a train we can here distinctive sounds of air flowing from/in brake pipes. I am not sure about technical aspects but it is definitely about air brakes. Then I wondered, is this sound simulated or minless endless loop. What I did was, I completely turned all the systems off and managed to emply my MR (main reservour) to ZERO. So at some point brakes were completely dead. No air at all. However, that sound was still "playing". I know it is not a big deal but .. they made great efforts into making various system work and forgot about brakes. Imagine if you turn your engine off but still here it work. ... damn it :(

More than likely it is an endless loop but it is also looped, because the longer the train the longer it takes for the brakes to apply throughout the length of the train as well as release the brakes. For example, you put the train into emergency braking, that's dumping all the air out of the brake line. it's going to take time to apply the brakes to every car and when you want to release the brakes it takes time for that air pressure to build up to release the brakes. Again, the example is say 50 cars.

It comes down to, train brakes work on negative pressure. Zero brake line pressure the brakes applied. Brakes at 86-90 PSI are released. The equalizing reservoir and main reservoir are there to help with keeping brake line pressure where it needs to be and everything else that works off of the air in the train. Everything is simulated to the best of their ability from my understanding. Is it 100% accurate? No, there is plenty of room for improvement but for the most part, they've done a pretty good job of taking real-world trains and putting them into TSW as a whole.

That was really informative mate, and I appreciate the sound. My point was that in this particular case the should have thought of turning the sound of if all reservouls are empty. Literally there is no air to make sound.

Another interesting observation. At some point I left that cold train and gor back to it in about an hour. While approaching the train I was shocked seing it with working engine. Thankfully when I got on, the game remembered all the settings and all numbers and train state got as I had left them. Engine stopped as well.

About your words, I could not agree more. The game now is playable and enjoyable. I just had to report this sound BUG, even though I realise It will never be fixed.
