Your collection comes with you. Train Sim World has always been about your collection, your choice of Add-Ons from your favourite region, time period, diesel, electric, passenger, freight – your way.
Your purchased Train Sim World 2020 Add-Ons will be available to play in Train Sim World 2.
So, before everyone flips the apple cart over, let wait and check what will results be on August.
so what do you call it when they update content for release in a new version? they ARE updating TSW1 routes and calling them "Preserved Collection" for TSW2. perhaps it is just the term "remaster" you have a problem with? not looking for a fight and no reason for name calling...
(One exception is the CSX:HH route which gets updated).
"Remastering" a route, such as what's happening with Sand Patch Grade, means rebuilding it to work with every new feature in TSW2. This will also iron out some of the problems with the original.
"Preserved Collection" routes will be playable in TSW2 but won't be usable in every part of it - for example the livery designer and route planner won't be usable with Preserved Collection.
All the add-ons you own for TSW will continue to work in TSW just fine, and they'll be added to TSW2 with no additional costs over time.
