The problem is somewhere on your side. I am aware that you said "other games work fine" but do those other games have dedicated servers? Remnant 2 uses a P2P connection instead of dedicated servers so that could explain why other games work for you two but this one doesn't.
To put it another way when you play multiplayer in Remnant 2 one of you acts as the server and the other connects to it. Rather than connecting to a neutral server like in many other games you have to connect to the other person directly.
I suggest trying to connect to someone's random game or hosting your own public game and seeing if randoms are able to join.
If either of you is unable to connect to randoms then that person has some kind of connection problem.
If both of you are able to connect to randoms but are still unable to connect to each other I have no idea why that is. You can try the standard "network problem cure-all" of unplugging your modem and router, leaving them off for 5 minutes and then turning them back on one at a time starting with the modem.
If that doesn't work google how to cycle your IP address and clear the DNS cache. Search for "IPCONFIG release renew" and follow the steps.
Do you both have or don't have the DLC?
also you can invite and join your friend any time and at any level.

The thing is, we're played some games that based on P2P connections, that's why i was flabbergasted about this one. Other player worlds was unconnectable too so i thought it was literally Remnant problem
But anyway eh, found a reason why - my PC time settings was desynchronized (lol) and after i set'em correctly we was able to connect eachother.
