Sure doesnt feel like a comfortable SOLO experience....
So I started the game went into the stone got lost because there seems to be nothing telling me where to go.. I left the stone... ended up going back because still not sure where to go.. Map isnt showing me ♥♥♥♥. So whatever I go to the chimney thing area where you pull the lever and go with the electricity down.

Okay at first I was like oh isnt this a neet little mechanic. Until I died about 40 times trying it solo. Its obvious its meant to be dont with more people. I cannot seems to shoot everything in time to get down fast enough... and when I finally did I was cashed out of ammo and died on the ground floor. Pretty pissed about the whole experience.

Still not even sure if im going the right way or doing the right thing. This games kind of confusing.

This specific area tho is infuriating and I already know someone is going to be like it was a breeze for me solo. Well awesome. For me I cannot seem to get down fast enough. Either im wasting ammo shooting the adds and the stupid crystals or if I try to bum rush the I still take insane damage from any hit. No real health or healing. If I try jumping its a crap shoot because it seems like they didnt really line stuff up for you to jump down and most of the time if it is lined up there is a stupid crystal right were you land. I tried going through before pulling the lever and shooting all the crystals I could see but then im just left with no ammo running down.

What crock of bull donkey. I hate this. I have no frigging clue what the frick im doing where im supposed to be going. Then the areas that seems like I should be doing I feel immensely underpowered.

Game is a fail forward game, collect scrap and luminites and upgrade your guns. The way forward will be an exclamation mark on your map.

Could also just be a tough area to do at the very start. Could always just reroll your campaign and see if you get a different starting location.

Start can be on any of the worlds and the starting location on the world is also randomized, as well as the bosses/dungeons/events/items/etc that you will find there.

If you are having a bad time or finding that spot too hard, just reroll your campaign at the world stone and see if you have a better time getting your footing elsewhere.

By the time you come back to that place later on, maybe you will have an easier time when you are geared.

I feel the same way atm. I will, however keep at it. I play nearly every game solo including all of the FROM games. Having a much tougher time here. Bought it on EPIC to get the early access and I've played too long to refund. Not sure that I would if I could. Hang in there and ignore all the git gud crap. Trite at this point and there are actually some helpful folks who offer advice...yep, even on Steam.

There are little blue crystals that you can shoot along the path that explodes the electricity.
I did it with two other random people I joined, we failed like 30 times. During the last time, we did our run as usual, and somewhere after the 2nd half where you shoot the parts blocking the crystal, I found somewhere to drop down that saved me about two rotations of the ramp. This way, by the time my team mates caught up, I had already shot down most of the crystals.

Basically, focus fire the crystals, try to avoid fighting the zombies, and keep running down! Look for an area to drop down after the break in the middle.

Ah, this specific "boss", the lightning crystal... you can shoot some of the crystals on the sides of the stairs before activating the mechanism.

Once you get to the midway point and the crystal/lightning stops moving, you need to destroy the root seed things holding it up to progress further. Most of it is just ignoring all the groups of adds that are less than 3 large, and keeping as close to the lightning as you can(lower, not upper lightning). You don't really need to kill the adds, either. Just hit them once or twice to hitstun them, then run past them. It certainly is a tough one to do solo-- my friends and I kept getting murdered by this event until we came up with a strategy.

When you get to the tree branch bridge, instead of taking the corridor, drop down to the stairs on the right; it'll save you a ton of headache.

You can shoot out as many crystals you can reach BEFORE you activate the switch. This makes you only needing to shoot out about 4~5 crystals on your way down and whichever ones are at the very bottom. You can honestly just run past the adds instead of focusing on killing them. If you go too fast you can die, make sure there's no lightning on the ground before you proceed forward. Crystal gets stuck at the point where you need to shoot out the roots, use this time to catch your breath.

I mean the Map tells you where to go after you just explore it, symbols show you where the side content is and where the main objective is with icons.
So just take your time and explore every corner, you also find alot of loot that way.

Beside that i get your pain, Remnant 2 is alot harder in the beginning because you dont always start in the same world with the same areas like you did in Remnant 1.
You can get some stupid anyoing areas and first Bosses if you are unlucky or you build isnt suited for it well enough.

The Chimney is ass but i have some tipps for it.

1. You can shoot alot of Crystals from above before you start the whole thing.
So if you have a Sniper just shoot as much as you want from above.
But i kinda kept them in the end because they also kill alot of enmies or weaken them.

2. You can run up to the energy circle and shoot one of the tree seeds down below, this will activate the thing too and saves you a few meter, crystals and enemies to deal with.

3. Try to either clear all crystals with a solid weapon (i had the shotgun) or time the explosions so you can run by them.

4. I ignored most of the enemies after the first few waves, i try to stick to the bottom circle as close as possible.
Enemies behind you just die by left over crystals or are to slow anyways.

5. Buy 1 or 2 Ammo suppy boxes for the scenario that you end up without ammo at the bottom.

Its overall a ♥♥♥♥ mechanic because of all the instakill stuff, but when you know how to deal with it, its not that bad anymore.

run past the mobs, you should maintain a pace with the electric floor just don't press forward until it has sunk lower than your elevation. the only thing that matters is shooting the tree bulbs that are glowing. Once you're at the bottom floor and release the mechanism, it will kill the spawns; there's no need to shoot everything.
goodluck.

There is N'erud, Yaesha, and Losomn for 3 starting location.
With the first its a sci fi alien planet ship, you look for the towers and getting quest items from various dungeons to open the gate to the world boss.

I don't blame you TC, I was just thinking "Man, how do people solo who aren't playing the Handler?" I can't count the number of times my puppy has saved me from the endless mobs that spawn behind me while I'm trying to fight what's ahead or else try to deal with the boss.

It's also a tad confusing how the objective marker usually doesn't show up on your map until you've already figured out where you're meant to go.

Btw u are at a optional dungeon
The game literally points the way where to go. Any other way is optional.

I don't really get it why u are complain about this when you could only ask for help with this Specific dungeon

But not problem, hope u enjoy the game as everyone else

As I said the exclamation showing where I needed to be. It only shows sometimes. To me its not as intuitive as other games. It was only when I went back to the stone and went back out a few areas I got the exclamation point on the world map showing the area I needed to be.

So a lot of my frustration was coming from the fact I knew I was probably somewhere I didn't need to be. But also that this Area felt very NON Solo friendly. Because I tried it for a good hour or more trying different methods. Such as clearing the crystals before pulling the lever. Or jumping down the other side at the start and trying to jump down and skip large gaps... OR trying to be efficient and run past anything I could and only shoot the crystals. Every time I would still die which made me feel like they obviously made this area with CO-OP in mind and for SOLO its Hell.
