Hardened iron?

When do these start dropping? I beat the game and tried doing apocalypse (very brutal at power level 16) and didn't see it drop once.

it seems to me upgrade drops are the same as in 1st game

iirc you need to max upgrade at least 1 weapon to max with previous upgrade material and then they start dropping. or just go on wiki for game 1 to check. for me it worked something like this.
but really nothing changes with upgrades since the game just scales based on your upgrade level

more weapons upgrade more power u get after a certain amount of power u will start randomly dropping them.

they aren't dropping in apocalypse difficulty postgame. It is probably tied to your relative power level, since that's the only scaling variable that I can see. Screwing around at 16 power level in apocalypse adventures, still getting galvanized everywhere.

I finished on Normal, and I got 2 very close to end game. However i cannot directly re-call if they dropped or i explored and found them. Pretty sure just need to farm around where your end game is and or re-roll VIA Adventure mode to farm them out. If your high enough lvl they should start dropping via Chests and Elites.

You need to have your gear/power level at 15 or higher for Hardened Iron to start dropping.

It also depends on the zone you're in.

Dude I've been at power level 17 since I beat the game and I havent seen this. You'd think I would've tried that first and foremost huh.

It's the "MAX" I can get since every upgrade now requires the materials.

I just upgraded my melee weapon to max galvanized (+5 to +15) and it moved my power level from 16 to 17.

Hardened Iron started dropping immediately in the farm i'm doing. It may only drop in Nightmare or Apocalypse, or only at higher level zones in lower difficulties.

I'm farming the chests in The Red Throne for relic fragments that don't suck, so the free hardened iron is nice.

Alright can confirm they only drop from the chest, could be the bigger one thanks.

They don't only drop from chests, you need 2+ weapons at 15 for them to start dropping regularly as normal pickups. The zone also has to be 17+ as Sigs stated.

They're dropping for me even on Veteran.

On nightmare or apocalypse diff its rare to find amd when you do you only get 1 or at least that's all I get when I fine them

Upgrade your other gear to pump that gear score.

I did half of a N'erud adventure mode on tier 17 and got my boss weapon to max and AR to +17

I am power level 14 and I'm seeing it I assume it's either you clear the game. Or you upgrade 1 weapon all the way until you see hardened iron then do adventure mode.

the moment you got 3 weapons equiped that need hardened iron to get the next upgrade it will start to appear everywhere.
