Disable Auto-Updates?

Is there a way to just disable them?
Don't wanna lose another world to that.

If not: When are we finally getting this absoulutely crucial option as a small checkmark box in game?
Backing up folders and swapping/ renaming them on every update is no option.

Is it not ridiculous that no one has an answer to that? Tmodloader modders are awful to the community. Major problems have zero percent of their attention. An issue such as this is major and should be an option within the platform so we aren't losing our playthroughs so often.

Steam forces auto-updates and devs have no control over that
If you want to be locked into an update, use the betas tab for major versions, or download the specific tML version you want from their github

making the playthrough's modlist into a modpack and freezing it gives you a folder with that mods that you can backup or move around easier, tML devs also give a preview branch to modders that automatically makes the mod available whenever preview becomes stable
