Sound Issues In Current Stable
My audio keeps crackling on any loaded sounds and music while playing the the stable version, so I swapped to the preview build and it behaved fine. Now that it's a new month, the preview build is gone and supposedly the stable build is the old preview build, right? I have the exact same issues with the current stable as I did the old stable. I've even imported all the files from the preview over to the stable, and it doesn't change it.

Is this a problem anybody else is having? Or do I just have corrupt files somewhere?

Worth mentioning I've already verified the files via steam. Also, this isn't a mod issue, it is with tModLoader itself, as it happens without any mods installed or loaded.

I have the same issue, and I don't understand why it isn't talked about more
hmmm, are u using the default tmodloader?

Probably some corrupted archives save in some part of the pc, and the tmodloader is using those archives to avoid re-downloading.

It's probably the same problem I had. I fixed it by replacing the FAudio.dll, check this:

Thanks, replacing the dll solved it. Begs the question though: Where does the preview build load from? Does it just use the raw dll found in the system files instead?
