Proper Metallurgy
Am i all alone when it comes to games and getting metallic proprieties right? Who the f* makes a lead anvil? IN what reality does gold or platinum create better blade than iron or ffs...tungsten...? In my humble, educated opinion it would be better to make up your own names for the ore and metals in the game than to reference real ones. it may seem petty, but for me, its a big hang-up.if your going to call it gold, it better be soft and conductive and if made into a blade, you should get your ass beat. If i manage to make a set of iron armor and broadsword i should be a formidable player. Where the F#4% is steel? Lets play with alloys. If i take iron and add some tin and a bit of bone maybe some gel, i should get an alloy. Take existing ore and ingredients and you could have a broad variety combinations to make new materials. Maybe lead armor should shield from radiation?....or magic or elemental damage but also make you slow AF because....its lead.... Maybe some sort of system that you could electroplate gear. I make a steel alloy sword and plate it with gold to get its effects...aluminum (mythril) armor with lead electroplating so you can harvest a radioactive meteorite...

These are some solid ideas, so if you can program, hit me up and lets talk. I want to make mods but if i have to learn how to program it will never get done.

You're talking about a game where you fight Sharknado Pig Dragons, a Wall of Flesh and an Elder God with Nyan Cats swords, Candy Corn guns, Laser Machineguns and Yoyo's the create bees. I don't think realism was ever a priority.

Well actally some jewelers use small lead anvils to work certain metals, bc the lead is soft enough that it wont damage whatever they are working on
YES, gold is stronger than iron. What are they teaching these humans nowadays?
All i hear is yap breh why don't i need to ♥♥♥♥ in game its not realistic enough (jk obv)

all of those are fantasy creations except the LMG and bee yoyo, who's to say they don't act like that? Can you point out a sharknado pig dragon that doesn't act like that?

I think you're missing the point of what I'm saying, the game doesn't care about what's realistic to how the actual metals would behave, the Lead anvil exists because it's the alternative ore to iron made for variety not because the devs believe a Lead Anvil would be practical to use in real life, Gold and Platinum equipment is better than Iron or Tungsten because it looks cooler and new players would assume the more valuable material is rarer and therefore used for stronger equipment.
