tModLoader and Terraria hours + achievements
Hello, so the past versions of tModLoader had the ability to gain achievements and Steam hours because you basically run the original game instead of running tModLoader separately this means that you can longer gain achievements and Terraria Steam hours as you basically launch tModLoader as a separate game which is very concerning especially for people who wants to play modded Terraria but still wants to gain Terraria Steam hours and achievements

I just copied my world/character from tmodloader to vanilla. Would rather have my hours and achievements being tracked than the 2-3 mods I had and didn't even use

you can still install tmodloader how you used to, allowing you to earn achievements.

since third party tools like steam achievement manager exist,
a mod for tModLoader could make it possible, and pass hours and achievement to the Terraria game from the tModLoader game

Considering programs like SAM exist, I doubt that. Anyways, it's a separate 'game', because tModLoader is not developed by relogic.

Edit: and it's been mentioned before, you can install tModLoader manually the old-fashioned way and get time/achievements that way.

i tried that but it doesnt work. if i wanted to ''cheese'' achievement i would use a trainer / hack and not mods. quite ridiculous actually. Fallout 4 had this bs feature too. ''oh you are using mods to give yourself a extra challenge and enjoy the game more?'' well let us just disable the achievements

How can you do it? I wanted to use my world in tmod and get my achievements in the original game, I already transferred the world and it works, but I don't earn the achievements, I just won the torch god.

PS.: I don't care about earning my hours in the game, just the achievements.

Playing tModLoader still counts towards your hours for regular Terraria. TML is a mod and requires that you own Terraria. When you boot TML, both TML and Terraria will be listed as "Running" in your steam library.
