I cant dash while have calamity on

Whenever i have the calamity mod on i cant dash by pressing either A or D, can someone tell me wht i need to do.The dash button has its own button which is F some might say its a skill issue but im just used to pressing A or D for dashing i cant even beat moonlord easily since i cant dodge most of his attack
