is fractured ark true melee (calamity)

I'm doing a true melee run for the first time and I'm currently stuck on the WoF. Some people on old threads said that fractured ark is technically a true melee. I'm not sure if this still applies as there's been alot of updates since then.

Functionally it is, if you don't use the parry mechanic (since, if you do, it'll get a projectile).
But I don't think it is affected by true melee accessories.
