Pls help with calamity bug

i have a problem with calamity where i take 1 damage over time and will kill me and tell me that i "couldn't put the fire out" and i can't stop this problem and it will always arise when the first few nights past or the first boss is defeated. i read that it was a "Mana Overloader" but i never have that on my characters. i also read that it was for a "cursed" tool modifier but i also don't have that on my characters
