Does Anyone Know How To Enable Excavation For Stone?

In my world I need 1000 stone in total to craft something, and I do not want to spend 3 or 4 hours just mining stone. So I went to whitelist stone, and it did nothing. I cannot whitelist stone or excavate it, what do I do?

if you are using ore excavator you have to press the whitelist button twice quickly to whitelist common blocks like dirt or stone
ycould just use bombs too

Whitelisting stone or dirt is one good way to crash your game if u are not paying attention xD
