Calamity Infernum. Profaned Guardians not spawning

I've recently started a solo Calamity playthrough on Infernum difficulty. It's all been going smoothly until I got up to the Profaned Guardians, where they wouldn't spawn. I've been into both the underworld and hallowed during daytime but they would never spawn. Just to test, I switch over to Revengeance mode and sure enough, they did spawn, so I'm currently thinking there's an issue with Infernum mode. Another thing I should mention, is that this bug is also happening with the Great Sand Shark. Doesn't spawn on Infernum, but will spawn on revengeance. Whenever I interact with the Garden Shrine, I can see the words show up for a frame before disappearing. Does anyone know what's happening or have a fix?

yes I had the same issue, unfortunately to my knowledge there is no official patch, you can try installing the infernum multiplayer fix mod, it fixes a number of issues, in both single and multiplayer, however this issue has been persisting for many months now :(
