Dedicated server not working with latest update

So after the latest update i went to reinstall my dedicated server for tModLoader and for some reason I now cannot connect to the server, it just gets stuck on "Found Server" and when I check the terminal logs on the server PC, it doesn't have any errors show up, and instead just says "<IP Address> Is Connecting...".

Server is being run on a Linux PC and the client on a windows PC, but until this update there was no issue connecting. To be certain it's not from mod involvement I uninstalled all of the mods and reinstalled the server completely, to no avail. I have also tried running a normal Terrarria server with the same exact setup and the Terraria server worked absolutely fine with no issues at all. Version numbers are the same across server and client so its not a mismatch causing the issue, and I have had a friend attempt to connect to the server, and they experienced the same issue.

I have also tried using a different Port for the server and that didn't work either.

I am not sure what, if anything, I'm doing wrong here... Has anyone else experienced this issue or something like it since the update? and if so, how, if at all, did you fix it?

Did you manage to fix it? my friend has the same problem, he can't be the host or join a server. only works in single player

Unfortunately no, I posted on the Discord and never got a reply... eventually just gave up and went back to standard Terraria cause it didn't feel worth it to try...

tks man, i have been melting my brain to solve this to my friend , but all the research i made ppl say with time back to normal

I finally figured it out and I absolutely hate myself... I was using the wrong IP Address to try and connect to the server... tell your friend to try using Zero Tier One to make a virtual network and connect through that.
