Is the Mod Loader out of date or something?

So i tried playing tML with some mods, only to find out it lacks some of the features of the vanilla game. Stuff like animated hair, autoswing, having to manually confirm adventure research to name a few. Is the TML not in sync with the vanilla game?

Correct. The main game is currently on 1.4.4, and TMOD is currently on 1.4.3. The reason for this is because every update on the main game breaks all the mods, and they have to make the mod loader work again, AND the mod authors also have to fix their mods.

No, never has been. Its always behind because the base game does not support modding, so to get around this, the TML team had to essentially rebuild the game from the ground up. As a result, it takes a bit for them to catch up to the base game whenever it updates, and of course, all of the modders have to update their mods to be compatible with the updated version of TML.
