Inventory/smart cursor broke (Fixed)

Okay so I have quite a few mods installed which I can list if necessary but basically, I was trying to build and all the sudden I lost the ability to build while in my inventory. Pressing the smart cursor button outside of my inventory works just fine, but doesn't do anything inside inventory anymore except for..favorite the item, which it didn't do before. Can no longer jump, walk around or aim in my inventory cuz of this too. And no, auto pause is not on!

For context I'm on Steamdeck, handheld mode. I'd JUST bound the right trackpad to function as a mouse instead of a joystick like it previously was, which I thought was the issue but.. Reverting the change did nothing at all! Restarted world, restarted console, changed ALL my keybinds, disabled and re-enabled mods, nothing worked.

Looked for this issue on every possible forum for like an hour and a half or two hours and didn't find any even similar issues. I'm at a loss and kinda desperate cuz I was just getting really into a build and I kinda rely on that function 😭 Any clue why this happens?

Disable infinite reach in hero extensions, not the one on the main bar.

Depends on what mods you have, what controls you have mapped, etc etc. Some mods, like Better Zoom, Cheat Sheet, and Hero's mod don't work well with the deck just because of the controls unless you preset the back bumpers to letter keys and map them in the in-game controls settings for each mod, which is a pain. Hero's and Cheat Sheet functions SHOULD NOT be used on the deck because of this. As I already see in the comments, the infinite reach is probably what is screwing your game. A question I do have is if this issue is present on PC for you (it's probably not, but I'm just curious).

If disabling infinite reach does not work, I'd suggest listing your mods so I and others can see what you have and what else might be causing it.

I did figure it out! For some reason the actual "smart cursor" in the keybind menu broke and just wasn't properly registering the keys I set. Found out pressing the quick mount button of all things is what toggled the smart cursor in-game. It seems to have fixed itself after doing that though since it's all back to normal now? Literally no clue why or how it happened but I guess lmfao?? And yeah, a lot of keybinds are bad on the deck, yet here I am using cheat sheet and others anyways for building pretty stuff 😭 Especially since we just restarted in 1.4.4 due to older mods finally getting updated (from 1.4.3)
