what do i need to survive the abyss

im not saying the bottom but like tier 1 i know its at the sulferic sea so i need to know how to deal with that too.

gills potion, flipper potion, arctic diving gear, u can go up to the sea king and press help for an infinite air buff that goes away when you get hit

There's an item crafted with the sulfuric scales that negates it. The helmet made with the scales also grants waterbreathing

There's items like the others have listed to deal with this, but you can also dig up and create an air pocket, you don't get sulfuric poisoning if you have air, it's ONLY when you're submerged completely.

Why make it so difficult? Amidias's blessing works just fine! Sure, it goes away after getting hit, but it's a quick and easy way to safely dive in the abyss.
