Ghost items no one can pick up keep appearing on any server I join and the issue is getting worse

Some time ago my power went out while I was on a server. Now whenever I join a server fallen stars, a stack of pumpkins and a glowing mushroom will after a few seconds just materialise in the sky and fall to the ground and no one can pick it up. It's like me and everyone can playing can see the item but no one can pick it up, like the server doesn't think it exists. Even if I join a different server the problem is still there and it seems to be getting worse with these ghost items duplicating. I'm worried over time they'll fill my world with pumpkins and stars I can't pick up. How can I fix this, is something corrupted on my end?
