Tmodloader 1.4 is not launching at all
I have been trying to tmodloader to start but whenever i press play it opens up logs and instantly closes logs right after, does anyone know how to fix this? I've verified and backed up tmodloader, but nothing seems to work

You all need to post your log files, so we can atleast understand why it is not launching. You have two of them to check:

client-crashlog in the root directory.

\tModLoader-Logs\ directory which contains all errors.

The exact same thing is happening to me. Ive tried valiadating game files for both tmodloader and terraria, and deleting and redownloading both games. Didnt fix it. Also Marcus101RR, there is no error. Im assuming the other guys here have exactly the same issue as me, but when you launch tmodloader that box pops up on the screen, all that coding and script stuff comes up and then when its finished the box disappears and the play button is back to green. once you press play again its a cycle of that box, it not launching and repeat. So frustrating as there isnt no errors from what i can see, the only possible cause that i can think of could be that my terraria (the main game not tmodloader) always has 1 file missing when i validate the game files, and it says it will reaquire it but it never does. idk if any of that jumble of words that i just said helps you understand, but if it does please can you help us with a solution. thanks - jay

Had this issue myself.
Fixed it by uninstalling tModLoader and manually deleting the tModLoader folder and its contents before installing again.
Hope that helps.

Had the same problem, tModLoader was correctly launching on one device, but wasn't on another. Did what you described and it got fixed.... for like 3 days. The issue has reappeared today and nothing is able to fix it again :/

i fixed it by deleting the tmodloader file then verifying local files of the game
Hermit CRABBO Sep 13, 2022 @ 10:40pm
yes, me too
maybe dotnet 6.0 zip file problem
deleting tmodloader or reinstall tmodloader won't helping

I think we have the same problem, my computer starts to open windows and says that dotnet should be present and that it can't open the game

same problem I've tried everything and it still doesn't work, it may be an issue with the difference in supported versions of the game files and other types of bug fixes and updates to the game. If anybody has any luck please do not hesitate to post to help some people out.
