Is the plague reaper set really better than Shroomite?

recently ive just finished defeating Golem as a ranger class and ive recently upgraded my armour to plague reaper and i was wondering if its actually better than the shroomite because it doesnt feel like its doing much more damage and the defence is a lot worse. Should i go back to shroomite or stick with the plague reaper set?

plague reaper set gives 34 defence shroomite set gives 51 so shroomite is better

nah, these 12 extra damage really don't do much when you're against the bosses, which deal 150+ damage. Plague reaper set is better imo. Like this set has insane stat boost, for example +25% range damage instead of 13%

well yes but he said it was not doing much more damage so for him the defence might be better

well yes but he said it was not doing much more damage so for him the defence might be better

maybe yes, but with revengeance mode enabled this stat boost is pretty noticeable. Also it depends on weapon tho. Without good weapon and accesories you wouldn't feel difference. Also i suggest him to test this armor on a dummy. Oh, and there's also a killer ability, which is just nuts.
