Controller Not Working

Since the latest 1.4 update, my logitech controller stopped working for this game. It still works perfectly for the base game Terraria.
I've already gone to properties>controller and tried to fix it there but it doesn't work no matter which option I choose.
I've tried changing the controller setup on the tmodloader page and tmod will give that little black box at the bottom right when starting up saying that it loaded the controller config but I still can't use the controller.
I have also tried changing the in game controls but tmod will not even recognize that i'm hitting any of the controller buttons. It only acknowledges the keyboard and mouse buttons. Anyone know any other way to fix this to get the controller recognized and working?

I'm having the exact same problem here. I've tried everything, searched everywhere; still nothing.

Yeah, still hasn't changed here either. 1.3 TMOD is fine but controller still doesn't work for either of the 1.4 TMOD versions. I havn't found any fixes yet either.

It now works for me for the 1.4 test version, still doesn't work for the more stable version. NO Fixes yet.

well Tmod got the controller working with an xbox controller for me for about 2 weeks. Today, the controller once again does not work and changing the configs both in the game and in steam is, like before, not fixing this. This is an issue with TMOD as my controller works just fine in unmodded Terraria and other steam games.
Probably going to see this get fixed and broken several more times till they finish with the new updates.

So after a lot of testing disabling and re-enabling mods, I found that the mod "Base Library" is disabling controller support. It is also not updated to the current version of TModloader for 1.4.3.

If any of you also have this mod enabled, it may very well be what is disabling your controller support like it was for me.

Here's how you fix:
Documents\My Games\Terraria\tModLoader and right click config.json and open with Notepad

Change these 2 settings to the following:
"InvisibleCursorForGamepad": false,
"SettingBlockGamepadsEntirely": true,

Save and exit. Right click config.json and click properties. Check Read Only box. Play the game.

Chriz's fix worked for me perfectly... until I turned off my PC for the night and came back to it in the morning? config.json still reads as they recommend, however my controller literally stopped working mid gameplay and continues to not function with tmod; despite working perfectly otherwise. Only mod I have installed is Calamity.
