Mythril/Orichalcum not spawning in calamity

So i'm new to using mods in terraria and i play on the Calamity mod. So I defeated WoF and got the hammer the ususal, and then destroyed about 4 altars and after destorying them I didn't get the message "Your world has been blessed with Mythril/Orichalcum" but I ignored it and went to find some with Splunkers potion but no luck, i've searched for 2 hours and nothing, only hardmode ore I found was Cobalt.

After I couldn't find anything I decided to destory 2 more altars and still nothing so I made a new world defeated WoF again and destroyed about 20 altars just to test if I can even get it to spawn, and still nothing, despite me making a new world and breaking about 20 altars I didn't get the message saying that my world has been blessed with Mythril/Orichalcum and I couldn't find any Mythril or Orichalcum.

Not sure if my game is just bugged or did i do something wrong please help.

How does that make sense when i need a Mythril/Orichalcum anvil to create items for them to spawn.

You don't, because it sounds like the option to change the progression path of early hardmode has been turned on. Read through the config options; as far as I knew it was Off by default, but that seems to be the best explanation for your predicament.

I stand corrected, it seems Early Hardmode Progression Rework is ON by default.

i beat all 3 mech bosses but i didnt get my mythril or oricalim or whatever ore so i cant progress help pls

For future reference, if you enter the Calamity mod's main configuration you can disable a setting called "Early Hardmode Progression Rework" which will allow you to break your altars and bless your world with mythril/orichalcum. Hope this helps!

You should probably mention that's this setting isn't "bugged" and making it impossible to get the ores and it's just that the way you obtain them is now different. Just so people don't mistakenly believe they need to disable this otherwise they'll never get Mythril ever.
