Probably only on WIndows, as a Terraria folder was missing in home directory documents.
~/ means your home directory
~/.local/share/Terraria/ModLoader/Mods/
This is on Debian 11 Bookworm/Sid

By start game I meant open tmodloader itself, not going in game.
If you couldn’t open tml mod count isn’t to blame, mod count only comes into play after loading starts.
Just because you have a solution doesn’t mean that I can’t offer a suggestion.
