Game is really fun, but please add Online coop as parsec and steam remote play don't work very well with my friend and I.

Let’s get down on what’s DANK because there’s a lot. The amount of customization is wild compared to any other roguelite/roguelike game I’ve EVER played. Details below:
+You can unlock 3 additional weapons per character, switch between 2 weapons in combat and each one has 3 passives with unique missions to unlock them during runs making for some spicy combos when switching back and forth.
+You get 4 spell spots to fill each run. I saw some reviews complaining about it. At first I felt the same way, but once you unlock some Auras that synergize different effects, it really starts to shine.
+Those 4 spells can each have 4 enchantments (called Gambits) that create an effect whatever that may be since there are so many of them. An example being, “On spell cast, summon 3 slimes”, or “When enemy is hit, apply burn”. Each spell and enchantment is tied to an element (Ice, Fire, Lightning, Poison, or Colorless) which if they match provides a damage bonus. If you apply a stack of 10 of one element, it has an additional effect that offers bonus damage. For instance applying 10 burn creates an explosion dealing AOE and a PHAT damage drop in which you can then reapply burn. It’s much more interesting than other roguelites that allow an unlimited stack of poison or burn and becomes the main focus of your build.
+Each spell can be upgraded from level 0 to 10+ with items found during runs which increases its damage.
+With the newest 2.0 release, they added imprints that can be found during runs and added to a spell which typically has a free effect, and then an additional effect that can be unlocked by meeting conditions specific to that spell (AKA, when spell is cast, summon an electrical laser beam from the heavens. If this spell has 4 electrical Gambits attached, gain Electrical dash for 5 seconds when you run through the beam. This is the simplest way of explaining how complex the spell system is, and even then, I didn’t cover HOW MANY SPELLS AND GAMBITS THERE ARE.

+Additionally, you can get up to 5 Passives called Auras that can each be upgraded from level 1 to 3 which unlocks additional passives and strengthens on existing passives on the Aura.

+You get a special attack that’s different for each character and gets upgraded throughout your run upon each new area you go to. These range from reducing its cooldown, summoning things to help you, to providing invincibility. You get 4 of these passives for your special by the end of the run.
Additionally, you get 4 passives for your basic attack as well.

OH MY! That’s quite a bit of customization you may say. But that’s probably about 60% of the customization in the game. There are runes you unlock for static stat boosts across a half-dozen stats, drinks at each safe location before a boss to spend currency on for stat boosts, spells, and gambits. You get “Echos” which are passives that have a huge variety of triggers. Bosses (Zodiacs) you beat can eventually tag along with some super crazy moves that will save your run in a pinch.

The reality is, I could go on and on about how great this game is and how you, the player, are given a metric buttload of choices for your builds and they all feel impactful which in and of itself is miraculous. You may make the assumption that with this level of upgrades and customization that the spells, gambits, echos, auras ETC… are very boring or repetitive or boring, but they are almost all very unique and impactful.

A list of everything else that’s great:
+You can pause and quit at the start of every room to save progress.
+The rooms you choose are pretty Linear, but this is a positive for me because spending 80% of my time navigating around a map sucks. I just want to see big numbers, cool flashy moves and get upgrades to make my build more broken.
+It’s easy at first, but at Destiny 6, difficulty goes from mildly difficult at Destiny 5 to using every last drop of healing against each and every boss.
+There are an INSANE AMOUNT OF UNLOCKABLES
+EVERY SPELL CAN BE PREVIEWED BEFORE PICKING IT UP


Stick with it for the first two hours and think of the cycling spells as a cherry on top of the synergy cake rather than something that’s annoying. It really opens up the with the auras and echos the more you unlock.

To be honest, I bought this game for $7.50 in a bundle thinking it was going to be generic, but this game is as close to a 10/10 roguelite/roguelike game as the industry gets. I refuse to buy anything on Steam for full price and I bought both DLC’s at full price just to support these devs.  

i love this game. its one of my overall favorite roguelites ive ever played. its up there with the greats like dead cells in my opinion. the early access period was fantastic, each update made the game substantially better. i remember when the fps was awful and the coop was super buggy lol. now its one of the most polished games in the genre. the new system additions make it much more fun to create and optimize builds during a run. i appreciate the amount of effort put into making rooms a lot more rewarding as well For instance, it feels like i can actually reliably add more gambit slots to my spells way easier than before. melee combat in the recent 2.0 update has been refined and now you can even juggle, which is pretty cool. I do recommend getting the dlc as well, the new rooms are fun and i like the andromeda fight. The character dlc, Yamat, is also a must grab too. I pretty much exclusively play as her now lol. I used to cycle between Callie and the hand to hand dude i forget his name, but Yamat's moveset, her greatsword weapon and her busted signature spell just makes her the most fun character for me. Thats another thing, I love the weapon additions to each character, and their passives. Makes melee combat more fun and the weapons are really cool. Overall highly recommend this game to anyone looking for a fun roguelite, chill vibes, fun and engaging build crafting, and for its very solid end game progression gameplay.
