For the Pacific Campaign the JSGME load order is as follows;
1. East Indies Campaign v1.5.2
2. TTE Main Mod 6.1.1 [WOTS 1.08g7]
3. Base OM Mod
4. OM All Ships In Campaign (this is optional, but if you want all the ships/planes)
5. Optional TTE sub mods (only choose one of each letter - this is what I am using at moment; (B) TTE 24 Plane Squadron (E) TTE No Payload Fighter_Scout)
6. Pacific Campaign
7. Simplified Realism for Pacific Campaign (this is optional)
For the ABDACOM Campaign, all you need is East Indies Campaign v1.5.2 as it is a stand alone mod unlike the the Pacific Campaign mod which requires the other mods.
I have done a similar load order (obviously, the East Indies version is now 1.5.2). I find having the Merchant Ship mod gives a greater variety of MS ships to use. I really enjoy the Expanded Arsenal mod. I have found in my latest WitP Campaign, that having this mod means that there are plenty of enemy (IJN in this case) ships available to sink. In particular, the CVs, BBs & CAs.
Great to hear! - That Expanded Arsenal mod makes the game really interesting.
If I knew how, I would have this thread pinned.
1 - East Indies Campaign v1.5.2 (the old ABDACOM mod)
2 - TTE Main Mod v6.1.1
3- Base OM Mod v1.5.10
4- OM All Ships in Campaign (optional)
5- Base Mod Expanded Arsenal v2.7 (optional)
6- TTE 24 Plane Squadron (B) (optional)
7- TTE No Payload Fighters/Scouts (E) (optional)
8- TTE Late War Payloads (F) (optional)
9- MNE TTE + OM (L) (optional)
10- Pacific Campaign Mod v2.2.1 (WotS v1.08g7h2)
11- Simplified Realism for Pacific Campaign (optional)
12- MNE Mod (PC) (optional)
13- Competent Airplanes (optional)
I did not have any problems installing the Competent Airplanes mod - I just added it to the existing setup. I went into my current WitP campaign and the new mod was active. That was good. I was expecting to restart my campaign. I have my Pacific Campaign mod really humming now - I have fixed the problems with the Iwo Jima & Okinawa airfields, which caused me problems in my earlier campaigns. I do recommend the Competent Airplanes mod - finally, the game has proper aerial warfare (almost)!
I have downloaded the TTE Main Mod, Base OM Mod and Pacific Campaign files. I have moved the folders to the created MODS file.
When I load the game, I get the campaign map and when I start with the American or Japanese campaign the game freezes and doesn't load.
I have tried the installation with JSGME following the following installation order:
1st TTE Main Mod
2nd OM Base
3RD PC
It doesn't work either.
Can you help me to do the installation?
Thank you very much.
This thread is extremely outdated. The Pacific Campaign is no longer installed using JGSME, as is detailed in the mod thread.
Just got back into playing the game just getting into practice for when Task force Admiral comes out (I know totally different upcoming game) will still play War on the Sea though. Just a few questions please
1. If I got all of the mods do they clash with one another
2. Can you still play with just the ‘Base Game I.e no mods if so is there an option for that?
3 is there instructions on how to remove the mods from the game files without messing with the base game files out?
Kind Regards
Dave
Welcome back to the game! To answer your questions, here is what I know;
Q.1 This is a yes & no answer. The Indian Ocean mod requires the East Indies mod to run. However, the East Indies mod is a standalone mod so, it won't work with other mods. The Pacific Campaign mod has not been updated to the latest version of the game and to play it, you have to revert back to the older version of the game and that makes it a standalone mod. You can download all the mods but, just be aware that you will need to install & uninstall to play them.
Q.2 Yes - you can still play the base (vanilla) game. Some of the mods have it as a menu option (though I think it is based on the TTE mod version). The mod that I am using (which is no longer available) allows me to play the old versions of TTE, East Indies & Pacific Campaigns without having to do the installs/uninstalls. To strictly play the vanilla, uninstall the mods as per the instructions and delete the override folder.
Q.3 Yes - all the mods have instructions on how to install and uninstall. If I decided to go back to the vanilla game, I would (1) deactivate the mod using JSGME (2) manually delete the override folder. (3) run the Steam file integrity check to ensure all the game files are correct.
It has been awhile since i last did all this. I hope I have not missed anything out but, I'm sure there will be players that have done this exercise recently.
