Reeling in fish bug

I have this issue when I try to bring a fish closer. I have the best fishing rod in the game, the level 27 epic Mechanical Catching Apparatus and the bait, but I cannot catch the furthest away fish from Braum's Shipwreck. I throw the line, try to bait the fish closer to me, but after a small distance, the fish resets to its original position. Nothing that I can do, even perfect reeling in does not allow me to catch that fish. Anyone else had this issue?
