It's been a while since I've played this game but I don't remember her being in it.

That's unfortunate

its just riot being undecided about lore syncronization between their games as usual. there are many contradictions between this game's lore and the rise of ruin game's lore. though i prefer this one's lore more because the 6 champions ahri, yasuo, pyke, braum, mf, and illaoi get so much character developments and engaging banters compared to the stuff happened in rise of ruin. the personality difference between pyke in rise of ruin and pyke in this game is one such example of the lore difference.

imo viego's dignity meter dropped to the abyss when he need the stereotypical edgy goth yordle vex to finish his plan. seriously, no wonder many people hate yordles in the runeterran universe, since everything about them is so childishly dumb compared to the more serious-dark gritty atmosphere of most runeterran characters.

This is before the Sentinels so I don't see a contradiction in Vex not being in the game.

riot messed up the lore synchronization of this game and the rise of ruin game event due to 2019-2020 pandemic.

for example, yorick (who is a very important champion in the whole shadow isle ruination story arc in the that rise of ruin sentinels game) get some very noticeable personality contradictions with his original lore character. also, riot didn't put yorick at all in this ruined king game (many people speculate that's because of resource constraints and development problem)... necrit took his whole role in this game's story...
here's one such thread discussing how riot handled yorick badly in that game...

this is why i didn't really trust riot to handle their runeterran lore with decent consistency. though at least ahri and pyke's character development in this game was handled well imo. (sadly riot botch up ahri's lore synchronization from this game and legend of runeterra again (her lore arc in LoR was supposed to happen after this game) by not giving her any lines that mention her vesani tribe, and in LoR yasuo/braum/pyke/mf/illaoi had no unique reactions at all to ahri if she's present in some card match session. riot just give those 5 champ their generic quotes when interacting with her in LoR (or no reactions at all in some cases...))

sorry for rambling. had to get that off my chest. i hope with the upcoming runeterra mmorpg riot will be more consistent and less contradictory in handling runeterra lore. people showing great interest in the arcane netflix show was also a great sign that many people really care about runeterra world's lore.

You don't have to apologize. I completely understand.

yeah, thanks. here's to hoping the runeterran characters' personalities+interactions+lore would be treated better in the future. they really deserved their stories and struggles to be respected properly after the main game LoL's moba gladiator-ish nature had abused them (and the players) lives ad-infinitum through countless endless loop of killing+respawns in pursuit of bigger numbers in the players' online leaderboards vanity (good thing riot retconned the horrible existences of the institute of war, the league and its summoners)

My dude, you don't need to tell me about the problems of that event.
