Jumpscare way too loud
Played the new Manor beta, and the jumpscare sound is ear-damagingly loud. It seems louder then the other ones, and i dont get why there isnt an option to turn down just the jumscare volume, because i obviously still want to hear other stuff. Just replace the "turn off jumpscare" option with a volume slider. Other than that, the map seemed good, even though i would've liked for the now fifth(?) map to have actually different gamplay mechanics but i guess they dont want to innovate :(

It was about 5% louder than slaughterhouse so we've adjusted it down. You probably won't notice a big difference. You can either mute the jump scares or turn down the master volume if it's still an issue - we don't offer a jump scare volume intentionally.

I'd actually love to throw my vote in here for this as well - all of my friends that I play with have had the same complaint. The scares are great, but the volume is *far* too high - you shouldn't have to choose between being able to properly hear teammates and enjoy the map ambience, or not having to wince when your ears get demolished by the jumpscare audio. Muting just isn't the same experience.

The jumpscares are so loud comparatively, it hurt my ears. It really really badly balanced.

The devs do not care. I've measured the jumpscare volumes and it peaks in a way that is not good for your ears. So ♥♥♥♥ this game and the devs.

Clearly you're not wrong about this. But having headphones on while playing this is a nightmare. The ambiance is improved but the game rules change from 'make sure you don't get grabbed', to 'make sure the volume doesn't blow your ear drums out if this grabs you'.

Not getting scared isnt the same experience. Youre trying to make a horror game less scary so ♥♥♥♥ your experience
Did you even read what they wrote? it was nothing about not being scared or being less scared.
