Can the Monster Hear you in the Inn???

I was wondering if the spider monster can hear you talk while you're hiding in the Inn. I found in my experience that when I tried talking the spider found me but when I stayed perfectly silent the spider never found my hiding spot. I cant find anyone confirming or denying this so i was wondering if someone could shed some light on my theory.

i dont think it matters. What matters is if your holding an egg or not (she might be more attracted to cleased eggs but im not sure)
