I think I had a very unique playthrough

For my first playthrough I didn't look up any walkthroughs or guides. I ended up going down the undead route almost by accident. I struggled hard with the Saranga missions so the option to jump ship on them seemed like a godsend. Just based on the achievement percentages I have a strong feeling that I may be one of the only people who accidentally ended up undead on their first playthrough. Anybody else end up undead without following a guide?

me too.
i play on hardest difficult by default and struggled to survive till ozzy. So my decision was restarting the map or restarting my unliving

It's strange the Sarranga missions are harder, since their troops are better than the standard barracks units in pretty much every way; Except the crossbow which Sarranga have no equivalent of.

But they were. Especially that first one with the bugs and droughts.

I ended up going undead as well, but I kind of regret it. They are kind of one dimensional and face roll almost everything just by attack moving.
