There is no good reason to stop a player from choosing a different path, certainly after they have completed the campaign based off of their current decision tree.
Just like all cut scenes (without any exception) should be skippable once the current campaign has been completed, regardless of the content of the cut scene.
It's not rocket science. Currently there are unnecessary hurdles to the maximum enjoyment of the game.
If nothing else, why not just add a restart campaign button? You could also keep some kind of progress indicators for each mission to show which difficulty levels they have been completed on. I have enjoyed completing the campaigns through one difficulty level at a time. It helped me to learn better techniques.
This is a really good game and I hope they are able to keep improving it.
The game experience isn't dependent upon the story so I don't think there is any reason to keep missions hidden from players. I want to experience the rest of what the campaign you've worked so hard on has to offer. I don't want to have to create a new profile or do any technical work or create one of those crime boards with the red string to figure out which missions I've played and which ones I still have left. Please fix this.
Maybe add in a 'Completionist Campaign' tab to the main menu or the existing campaign that unlocks after you beat it which reorganizes all the campaign missions into a tree so you can see the path you took, where the story branches off, and play all the missions you didn't get to the first time.
Please change this. Thank you.
This just got me really close to quitting the game full stop, I will reload a save to get the functionality the game should just have had out of the box.
It would be amazing if this could get remedied, as this is literally the only thing keeping this games campaign from being great!
