Some frequent issues

Here are some issues you may, unfortunately, encounter in your journey.

Q: Clicking any button in the Main Menu - Endless Mode, Campaign, Options etc - has no effect and leads back to the Main Menu. Only Tutorial can be launched.
A: Some peripherals like controllers can cause it. Check if you have any connected to your PC and disconnect them.

Q: Constant crashes on 13/14th gen Intel CPUs.
A: This is a common issue with those CPUs, not limited to DiNaO. Unfortunately, there's nothing we can do to fix it. A little bit more info about it: https://www.theverge.com/2024/7/26/24206529/intel-13th-14th-gen-crashing-instability-cpu-voltage-q-a

Q: After building a wall the game is stuck in the building interface, most buttons can't be interacted with.
A: We are investigating the issue. Right now you can fix it by saving (F5 by default) and loading (F9) the game.

Q: Game lags and stutters on AMD GPU.
A: The issue is caused by AMD Super Resolution being tuned on. Update your drivers and turn AMD Super Resolution off.

Q: My saves have been reset!
A: Unfortunately, this seems to be caused by Steam Cloud. We advise to turn it off for the game, unless absolutely necessary. You can do it by pressing RMB on Diplomacy is Not an Option in your Steam Library and selecting Properties.

Q: I can play the game, but there's black screen instead of cutscenes.
A: In NVidia control panel change VSync setting from 'Fast' to 'On'.

This just happened to me after 120+ hours, not sure why as I did nothing strange and a lot of the time listen to podcasts while playing on the internet. alt-tab out of the game went to a new one. came back to game through alt-tab and built a wall then this happened. took me like 20 mins to try to figure out that the issue only happened in game and was unplugging and re-plugging things, hell I even tried a different mouse and my touch-pad (using laptop) to no avail.

Just want to say that I used the - Main Menu - icon below the map to get there as Esc did nothing. could pause and resume but many other buttons (to get outside build) did nothing. this is another option to reset the game as it started working after quitting and restarting. just wanted to see if anyone else had this problem and give how I solved it and saw this. thought this path could help people as well.

Also if there is a way to give you (developers) my data that could have the bug, and it be useful let me know either through steam or if another way tell me how to contact you.
