Map size
Can we expect to have much bigger maps at some point ? To add to the strategy side of the game.
It would be awesome to have even continents to play on.

Hi! Initially 200x200 maps were a limit in the game because of enemy numbers that the game can spawn in a wave and complexity of systems that calculate pathfinding and collision of such huge numgers of enemies - up to 25k. During the developement our coders managed to optimize some parts of code and introduce maps up to 300x300 in size.
If they managed to create a miracle again we'd be happy to make maps even bigger, however, it's unlikely to happen :(

They are already capped :) From some point in late game the number of enemies in waves stops rising. That's why we added a Skilled Survivor option - to keep creating a challange for a player without increasing enemy numbers. We might have lowered the cap, but DiNaO is a game about big armies and massive sieges and lowering the cap would kill the feature.

Perhaps you would consider the unit cap to be defined by the PC spec of the player. Surely a PC with 16 cores CPU can handle 4x the total enemy units than the ones with 4 cores CPU.

Use the concept of a game called Ultimate Epic Battle Simulator (UEBS). Total units are only limited by hardware spec.

I mean, units are also limited by the physical space available on any given map -- and that's not a number you really want to see ever hit 100% capacity, because then you wouldn't be able to see the terrain.
