Suggestions after playing Endless Mode Feat of Resistance Extensively
Balance In feat of resistance is quite bad, it's pretty much impossible to survive past day 35 when you get attacked from 4 directions.
- You run out of stone and iron way too quickly, around day 25 or so.
- You don't have enough stone to completely wall your base off to defend against
random raids from any direction
- Getting to level 3 castle is way too expensive with little benefit, its better to just
scale.
- You need a huge base and a huge amount of units to survive wave 35 and you run
out of resources before you can upgrade your base to level 3 and get tier 3 walls.

Here are some of my recommendations to make the game more fun, balanced, and making all units, buildings more viable.

- Taking resources in the outer areas of the map is not viable because they just get killed by raiders, and you would need a huge base to defend them.

*Recommend making resources in the outer areas of the map have more ores in them and increased productivity to make them worth taking.

- It's just not that fun that your fish, stone and iron mines stop producing resources, its tedious to have to delete them, take new resources in the far areas of the map where they are hard to defend (and yes I know there are infinite resource options late in the game)

*Recommend making mines and fish produce less resources instead of nothing when they run out.

- Lumber mills and mines are pointless to upgrade, as they will just run out of resources quickly, and waste resources upgrading, its better to just build more tier 1 lumber mills and stay on level 1 mines as well.

*Recommend making mines and lumber become more efficient (meaning, produce more resources and consume less ores/trees) so they are actually worth using.

- Farms are pointless to upgrade, as they only give a 20% increase in productivity but cost coins, and 3 extra population. It's better to just build more level 1 farms

* Recommend removing the 3 increased population, make the productivity increase 100%

- After around day 25, you will get huge waves of raiders that come from random directions, which can randomly wipe out a huge amount of your base if you don't happen to have it walled off there. I don't see why it's necessary to have these raiders as you already get indicators for when the big waves are coming.

*Recommend removing these raiders, make them smaller, or least have an indication for when where they are coming from, it's not fun dealing with them, and feels too random.

- Buildings have way too little health, the random raiders that attack, destroy your houses and structures before you have any time to respond by sending units to kill them.

*Recommend increasing the health of all buildings and raider changes mentioned above

- It's also very tedious trying to find that 1 raider in your buildings as the units are very small, the attack indicator only shows up periodically and the sound source is not very localized, meaning you can hear it from far away.

* Recommend making your building turn red when it's getting hit, make the indicator appear for longer and make sound radius smaller, closer to the target.

- Wooden walls are so weak and expensive early in the game, they are pointless to make, recommend increasing health by 30% and half the cost of all wooden walls/gates.

- Wooden wall and stone wall upgrades are pointless, recommend making the upgrade affect all buildings and all walls instead of just wood walls and stone walls (like how the resource gathering upgrade works). The upgrades are way too expensive as well (120 wood for the wood wall upgrade)

*Recommendation:
Building Fortifications 1 - Increase health of all walls and buildings by 25%, 20 wood
Building Fortifications 2 - Increase health of all walls and buildings by 50%, 40 stone
Building Fortifications 3 - Increase health of all walls and buildings by 100%, 15 iron

- Build speed upgrades for cavalry, siege, archer and swordsman units are pointless, just build more barracks, siege, cavalry buildings.

*Recommend making the upgrade make the units cost less instead of build quicker.

- Tier 1 swordsman upgrade is pointless 'Mongoose Reflexes'. Its pointless to build a lot of swordsman as they die very easily, and will come back and attack your base as zombies. The upgrade is very weak and doesn't make much of a difference in increasing their survive-ability. Even with healers they die quickly.

*Recommend increasing swordsman health by 25 and making the mongoose reflexes 50% chance to dodge instead of 20%.

- Too much randomness in map generation. Often times I've had maps where there is only 1 iron mine or very few stone mines in the starting area of the map, with other mines being way too far away to take until later in the game, meaning you cant really survive very long.

Also if there are 2 fishing areas close to the starting area, its much much easier to sustain a huge population.

Also sometimes there are huge raider bases right next to your spawn and other times only camps with a few units.

Also raider camps can spawn in trees, which is pretty annoying because you cant see them, berries can also spawn in trees

*Recommend adjusting the randomness so there is always 3 iron mines, 8 stone mines and 2 fishing areas near the starting area. Otherwise you would need to keep reloading the map until you find a viable map to actually survive on.

Also make the infinite iron and stone mines not spawn on the outer areas of the map otherwise they are impossible to take, and have a specific number of them.

Also make sure only small camps spawn near your starting base and bigger camps spawn further away.

Also make berries and camps spawn away from trees

- Cavalry are pretty much pointless, better to just use your archers to take the outer bases and then send them back to the wall to defend, instead of wasting resources on cavalry buildings and upgrades.

*Recommend making cavalry much faster, cheaper and higher damage.

- University upgrades for magic abilities are pointless. You get very few uses as there is a very limited number of soul crystals you can get. The optimal way to use them is to save them and use the laser beam to kill the siege engines in the big waves, as is very hard to deal with them.

*Recommend having less siege engines per wave and having the ability to trade resources for soul crystals at the market.

- It's pretty much pointless making grave diggers, its better to just kill the zombies, they are too slow in picking up dead bodies and cant handle more then a few dead bodies. Grave digger upgrade is also pointless as it's cheaper to just build another level 1 grave digger as lv2 grave diggers costs 2 pop and more resources than 2 level 1 grave diggers.

*Recommend making gravediggers be able to pick up 3 dead bodies at once and making level 2 grave digger only cost 1 pop.

- Builder upgrade is pointless as it costs 4 pop, and costs 10 extra wood, 5 stone and 2 iron, better to just build another level 1 builder.

* Recommend making builder level 2 only cost 2 pop

- Having to use the market to get gold just isn't that fun, it really sucks having to spend 400 wood to get a just like 10 coins, and it's just tedious having to trade with the market all the time. I want to play a castle defense game, not sit in a menu and trade resources game.

* Recommend adding gold mines to the game, as an alternative way to get gold

- Guard towers are pointless, the extra range is negligible as units will move in quickly anyway. It's better to just build regular which have way more health and cost just about the same amount of resources.

* Recommend making units deal double damage while on a guard tower.

- Due to how the physics works, gates are really bad because units can hide under the gate, even when they are closed, and you have to manually remove archers from the walls to kill them. This is very tedious, especially when you are getting attacked from every angle after around day 25

* Recommend allowing archers to shoot through gates.

- It can be really difficult to tell exactly where the enemy will attack from, you build defenses on one side of a mountain but they attack the other, even if it looks like they are coming from the way you expect. Only way to deal with this is to save/reload and rebuild your defenses in the correct spot.

* Recommend adding an indicator on the map showing the path they will take to attack your base

- Your units have a ridiculously small acquisition range/aggro radius. Your archer can be standing right next to a house with a raider attacking it and still not attack it. This is so annoying given how hard it is to find units in between your buildings, and how small units are

the enemy acquisition range is also ridiculously small, they will walk straight past a tower full of units and go straight into your base, its so annoying.

* Recommend doubling the acquisition range of all units, and making enemy units focus on towers and walls instead of walking straight through to your base. This would make the game so much less tedious.

i will respond in no particular order. Just my thoughts on a few of the things you mentioned

big oof, if you don't upgrade the mines. This is a huge mistake and one that I didnt even know for a long time. Higher tier mines will allow you to get more resources out of each mine.
For example, if you click on a mine and it says it has 200 resources, a lvl 1 mine will get 200.
Lvl 2 can extract double the amount, so in this case, that would be 400.
Lvl 3 can extract triple the base amount, so 600 total. But if you wait too long to upgrade, those resources are just lost. So if it had 10 left, and you upgrade to lvl 2, you will get 20.
Its why upgrading town hall is important. Getting higher lvl mines will allow you to get more resources before they dry up.

- Farm upgrade
Farms take up a lot of space, so if you can squeeze extra productivity out of them, without needing more land, its a bonus. You can think of land as a resource on top of all other resources you already have to manage. So on a map where land is more restricted, its nice to upgrade them without having to use up more land.
- This applies to all buildings you mentioned that need an upgrade. Builders hut/ gravediggers/ lumbermill , etc. You can upgrade them, get more workers in them, without needing more land
( i will admit that the higher tier lumber mills are trash. Except for a few situations, getting a tier 1 mill that costs no resources is better)

- You say that you're struggling to get past day 35 (or wave 35, your wording is unclear).
From what I can tell, it looks like you have problems gathering enough resources to build a strong defense and army. Since a lot of your suggestions are to just straight up boost the productivity of resource collection, you don't need a rework of the game to achieve this

***
- To boost resource collection, you just have to place storages next to the places they are being made. Make sure you build multiple if they overfill, otherwise productivity massively drops if workers suddenly have to walk miles to the next nearest storage site.
- This apples for farms as well, Make sure you have food storage right next to the farms.
If you have tier 3 townhall, you can also add the workers building (forget what its called) to get even more productivity

Also dont be afraid to be aggressive and mine resources super far from your base., You dont need a massive wall to protect them. Just put up small walls and treat it like an outpost. It should have the highest tier mines, storage nearby. Small walls to defend and a few crossbow men. Maybe even a builders hut nearby if you want to build stuff quickly. Just strong enough to survive a raid, but if a wave is coming through, then destroy all of it and then rebuild when the wave is over. The amount of resources you can extract quickly would outweigh the cost of setting it up

- for the raids, they do play a siren before they come. I personally have most of my sound settings on low, because the announcements can get annoying. But it makes hearing the sirens a little easier. Also , you should have scout towers all over the place, and look at the mini map periodically. Or just have a small portion of your army stationed near the N/E/S/W of your base that can respond to anything. When you are attacking enemy camps, dont use your entire army, have some standby soldiers than can respond to raids
- 1 more thing about the raids. If someone is attacking any of your stuff which includes buildings/walls/defenses/ citizens/workers, pretty much everything. There is an attacking notification that you can just click on, and it will show you where on the map, they are attacking. This is if you cant find where they are.
- You can also press alt tab (i think), and it will highlight all enemies. Makes seeing them behind structures very easy

- for the grave diggers, all you need to do is build a cemetery where the majority of the dead bodies are. Its a cheap building to make
- then click on your gravedigger houses and set a priority to where the dead bodies are. They will clear the bodies by going back and forth very quickly. You can then demolish the cemetery while your army is nearby to clear it out
- I mainly do this if workers are nearby the bodies. If they get sickness, they're productivity drops so its important to clear out the bodies
