Game-FAQ
1️⃣ Will there be multiplayer?
Unfortunately, no multiplayer is planned. Though there will be global leaderboards for you to share your scores.

2️⃣ Will DiNaO be ported to mobile platforms?
Nope, that's not the plan either.

3️⃣ What about the Steam workshop?
Yes, there will be some sort of workshop added after the full release.

4️⃣ Do you have a roadmap?
Yes: https://steamcommunity.com/games/1272320/announcements/detail/4406212454026565573

5️⃣ How many missions are in the campaign now? When will there be more?
Until the full release, only 3 missions are playable. Of these, the 2nd and 3rd are parts of two different storylines, one of which you choose during your walkthrough. However, there are a lot of endless mode maps in the game now, and the next update will bring even more ways to play DiNaO.

6️⃣ How can I replay the current campaign?
You can create a new game profile in the main menu by clicking on the current profile name.

Controller support?

I need a function of Mobile Attack to help me explore the map! I always make archers walk in the enemy's face. I want function like this. When the archers are on their way, once the enemy gets within range of him would stop and fight. After the battle, proceed to the designated position.

Hi! There is an "Attack" order that makes your units act like you described. You can use an F key and then click LMB on a point you want your units to go to and they'll do that, attacking every enemy they'll meet on their way there.

Hi, no, there is no Mac support. It's already playable and we are considering full support, but haven't decided yet.

I suggest not to put too much effort in campaign. This game type thrives on custom map or endless mode. You should put more effort in adding more unit variation with unique abilities. You can look at another popular game called "They are Billions". Different zombie types have unique abilities.

The campaign in "They are Billions" is negligible. No one really care about it. But the custom maps provided by the community are the real deal. They are basically custom endless mode or custom scenario maps. Players keep on playing that game for hundreds of hours because of the custom maps or custom scenarios. The unique abilities which each zombie type have, enable them to do so.

If players spend hundreds of hours playing this game over and over again with different kind of challenge, then you'll get many praises from them and DNO will become viral.

I gave an advise to developers of Aquatico on how to make it a spectacular city building game, but the developers banned me instead. They become stubborn in pursuing their own roadmap, which basically contradicts my advise. So as you can see, they got very low scores. Hence very few sales.

I consider myself as a hardcore game player. I have 16-core CPU, 32 GB RAM, 6.5 TB harddrive (HDD + SSD Nvme), and dual GTX 1070. I have almost 300 games in Steam, GOG, Battle Net, and EA App (Origin) from various genre. RPG game, RTS game, Story game, Open World game, Tactical game, Action Adventure game, TBS game, FPS game, and more.

So trust me when I say that focusing on campaign, will only consume huge effort but very little impact on the fun factor. Your fun factor comes purely from custom scenarios and purely random maps, with customized waves.

Referencing endless and campaign modes, this is completely subjective. Personally, I found the campaign of "They are Billions" the most enjoyable part of the game. I loved the idea of that game with unlocking different technologies as you progress throughout the campaign. Furthermore, you weren't completely restricted to select certain options and were free to expand and experiment how ever you liked. Of course, there is a "most optimal" path to the game, but they did a good job with balancing to let you do what you wanted.

I wholeheartedly agree on with putting the most focus on the core mechanics of the game, like units, technologies, buildings, procedural generation capabilities and optimization, etc.

In my professional opinion, specific challenge modes are a good addition to the game; however, I would not rely on it. The planned addition of Steam Workshop and map editor is a perfect core component for the livelihood of the game.

I too would consider myself a hardcore gamer. I have an i9-13900k, 64 GB of RAM, x4 2 TB SSD, x2 1 TB NVMe SSD, and a NVIDIA RTX 3090. I have thousands of games of many different genres on multiple platforms, launchers, and programs. This clearly justifies my opinion and not my time in the video game industry.

We have postponed the full release date to the first half of 2024, as we want to bring the campaign and other aspects to an ideal state. Also there will be some sort of a workshop after the full release
