1) does only the input lag? does the game itself lag? visual starters... everything freezes on the screen... or just the mouse...?
2) is there a dependence on the maps?
1. Everything on screen carries on as normal, as far as I can tell it's just the mouse that's affected by this.
2. Missions seem to work OK, But every endless map I've tried suffers from the lag problem almost from the moment the game is started and any orders are given.
Cheers

As you can see, the mouse starts to stick even before I've started queuing up orders or moving units.
What I also hadn't realised is that the same pauses/lags in the mouse are also affecting the keyboard, so quitting out again after involves a fair amount of spamming the ESC key.

I must have been through 4 or 5 GFX driver updates in that time also, none of which have had any effect on this.
Essentially I am unable to play anything other than the story modes as the cursor seems to behave in these, which is a shame currently as there is only limited replay-ability in those.
I sent it to your kate@door407.com email address
As I had bought it years before building this system it was on standard windows drivers and this was what was causing your/my problems.
After installing the corsair drivers (and updating the mouses firmware) the problem seems to have gone away, so good news.
For reference the highest polling speed this mouse can do is 1000Hz/1ms, I'm currently running that with the Corsair drivers no issue though, so maybe it was doing something crazy with the windows driver.
Thanks for your help
When I updated the mouse firmware yesterday I had to plug it directly into the PC - I ran the game while still direct into the PC.
On plugging the mouse back into the POS Chinese KVM the problem has come back exactly as before.
If I plug a second mouse direct into the PC then that works correctly.
The odd part is that this is the exact same setup as before changing the GFX card, and the media PC with the GTX1030 also uses the same switch for keyboard and mouse without issue.
Obviously the fault is in the switch somehow but it's very odd that it has only surfaced since fitting the 3080.
No idea if there's anything you can do at your end (I have to assume others will use switches for multiple PC's on the same input hardware) but it will be nice to play on my nice mouse instead of the nasty old one I'm having to use now (at least I can play diplomacy again!)
