They already wrote in another thread that there will be no further translations, its just too much text and they are a small team.

Hey! Unfortunately no as the game is a heavily text-based one and it will be almost like making a new one.

Germany is the perfect market for such a game, there's a lot of money in it. Unfortunately, you won't be successful in English. You must not listen to the voices of loud bed-wetters who claim that today every German has to speak English. On the one hand, this is not the truth, and on the other hand, even those who know English prefer to play games in their mother tongue. Games should be fun ^^

Well, German (and French) are my mother tongues, even though I prefer playing, reading, etc in English.
Same for most of my friends (the German ones at least). This doesn't mean the game shouldn't be in German, but just saying :)

I would also like to volunteer for helping in translating. Your game deserves a greater audience. Please feel free to contact me in this matter, should the decision be made.

Also VERY interested in helping with translation. I have also been told that I have a decent, deep voice for the rare "cutscenes" with narration (though nowhere near as impressive as the English voice). I have no real experience, so you can most likely find better candidates. But I think I could be very helpful with translation into German.

Would be great. I played it in English but would be great for players not having an advanced language level. After all the vocabulary is tricky, I guess.

Games have probably done more for my English than any other medium. I remember playing the original Zork back in the 80s with a dictionary by my side - it definitely improved my vocabulary a lot.

I would strongly recommend playing this game in English, if at all possible. The game and the story are worth it even if you have to look up some words. If you're able to understand Wikipedia texts, then you shouldn't have trouble with this game. The sentences aren't overly long or complicated, and the vocabulary isn't particularly difficult either. In fact, the game is quite good at bringing its (fictional) late medieval setting to life without resorting to historical terminology.

That said, translations would definitely be appreciated by many potential players. However, given the amount of text and the fact that this is a niche game with a limited audience, a professional translation seems impossible, it would never recoup the cost.

A fan translation might be possible, but I'd estimate that this would require a structured, reliable work environment and at least a dozen of very dedicated people who are willing to devote several weeks of their spare time to the project. I'm very skeptical if that has a realistic chance of happening, but I'd be happy to be proven wrong.

Yes sure you are right. If you are able to consume something in the original (I guess in that case it would be Russian) it's always better. But then again, there are many people (I know) which would like to play the game but don't share the vocabulary / devotion to learn such high level vocabulary.
Hence, if possible, a translated version would come handy.
