Crossplay with epic games?

Can I play with a friend playing from epic games while I open it from steam?

There is a crossplay, so yes you can, but epic version is broken right now, and its difficult to connect or invite your friends. Do not link epic with steam or else it is going to break your game on Steam as well. At least that's what other players have reported. You can try and start "quick match" at the same time and hopefully it is going to add you to same lobby and you can play together that way.

Managed to get in the same lobby with my friend every time, pretty nice actually, we didn't figure how to start a private lobby but we definitely didn't miss it for now

Problem with EPIC GAMES OVERLAY start from the first start of EPIC GAMES OVERLAY for all games (several of them) with multpiplayer for EGS verison of games and with multiplayer (cross play or probably all) with STEAM VERSION of such games who worked with EPIC USER throw EPIC GAMES OVERLAY ........... some TCP issue probably depends on region (regional issue??),,,,,,,,, I try to investigage issue with one game and try to buy this game on EGS and on Steam and it was same issue for both platforms.

how looks like error with friends multiplayer? I think same problem was in june 2021 with another Milestone game MotoGP21 (Steam version). But in July 2021 they fix it as I see. Fix it via app link with allowing list of friends from MotoGP21 app to EPIC (apps link). But HOT WHEEL UNLEASHED steam version as I see didn't create app link in EGS STORE for allowing to see list of EGS friends to combine it. I don't know why, may be this is course of the issue too.
